Job Description

We are searching for dedicated and experienced SEA tutors to join our team. As a SEA tutor, you will be required to deliver live online syllabus-aligned classes to students preparing to write the SEA Examination. Tutors will provide 1-on-1 support to students as needed. Mentor students with the goal of fostering skills for examination success.

You will also be responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, documenting students’ progress and partaking in other online activities.

To be successful as a SEA tutor, you should possess a thorough understanding of the SEA 2021 – 2023 Revised Assessment Framework and effective teaching practices. Our ideal candidates will be able to create a stimulating, fun, learning environment that is sensitive to students’ psychosocial needs.

 Primary School Tutor Responsibilities:
● Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
● Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
● Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
● Ensuring that the online classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
● Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.
● Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
● Documenting and reporting on students’ progress.
● Attending meetings with parents and staff.
● Participates in the company’s online marketing programme

Educational Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in education or Proven experience as a Primary School Teacher/Tutor.
● A thorough understanding of SEA 2021 – 2023 Revised Assessment Framework and best practices in teaching.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Organized, flexible disposition.
● Computer Literate
● Basic troubleshooting skills
● Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Technical Software & Hardware Proficiency:

Vacancy: CSEC Spanish Tutor

 Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Spanish tutor to join our team. As a Spanish tutor, you will be required to deliver lessons that develop students’ Spanish skills. You will also be responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, monitoring and documenting student’s progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with and preparing students for tests and partaking in other online activities. 

To be successful as a Spanish tutor, you must possess a passion for helping students learn and have the knowledge and skills to help students find new ways to look at difficult skills and concepts. You should possess a thorough understanding of the CSEC Spanish Syllabus and effective teaching practices. As a tutor, you must have patience, as many students you work with will have trouble understanding the content you are trying to help them with. You must also have a positive attitude and know ways to motivate students when they become frustrated by material they do not understand.  

Spanish Grammar – Spanish tutors have strong Spanish proficiency for level needed and  a great understanding of Spanish Grammar components.   

Communication skills – Spanish tutors use excellent verbal communication skills to  simplify complex topics so they’re easier for students to understand.  

Time management – Spanish tutors use good time management skills to cover specific  subject matter with students within an allotted amount of time.  

Interpersonal skills – Spanish tutors interact with students of all ages and levels of  learning, and find ways to help them grasp grammar and vocabulary concepts, which requires good interpersonal skills.  

Spanish Tutor Responsibilities:

As a Spanish tutor, your main responsibility is to support the process of the students  learning of content as instructed by their teacher, explain how to understand skills in their area  of weakness, and review content with them. A tutor may also help students develop study skills  and organization techniques to help improve their academic performance. Spanish tutors assist  students with grammar, vocabulary,, and pronunciation to assist them in foreign language  understanding. This may be done in a one-on-one or group setting. Tutors will report on  students and share those reports with supervisors at the end of each session. In addition to the  academic component, tutors offer encouragement and support to keep students motivated and  ready to learn and are serving as a role model to the student.  

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in Spanish, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Spanish Tutor.
• A thorough understanding of CSEC curriculum and best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
